ABOUT GAIA GARDEN DESIGN

Gaia Garden Design was set up by me, Heather Turner. My design training started years ago at the London College of Fashion, where I studied Costume Design. I adored London and working in film and theatre, but having grown up in the countryside I felt a strong pull back to the South West and also to be working with something more intune with the seasons and the natural world. I retrained as a garden designer under the renowned designers, Robin Williams (MSGD) and Moira Farnham (MSGD), at the Garden Design School in Bristol. After graduating the course with a distinction, I moved soon after to the South of France, where I started Gaia Garden Design.

 I have recently moved back to Bristol and relaunched GGD in the South West of the UK. I am very excited to be back in the beautiful city of Bristol and in the UK, which for me is an inspiring place to create and to garden in, and to be bringing the experience and knowledge I gained designing gardens in the South of France.

My approach to garden design of course centres around you and what you need from the space. My goal is to create something that enhances your life at home and that entices you outside into your garden, so it becomes another area or room in your home; whether that's a secluded, social or playful place will be entirely down to you. Those open spaces will be balanced with beautiful planting 

that provides interest throughout the year and fits into the surrounding natural landscape, be that urban or rural. Whatever your style preferences, I am sure that I can find a solution that works for you and allows you to spend more time enjoying your garden.
